About Pahcom

The Professional Association of Health Care Office Management was founded in January 1988 for the explicit purpose of providing a support system to the managers of group and solo physician practices.


PAHCOM is a nationwide association dedicated to providing a strong professional network of resources for health care office managers that will perpetuate the productivity, efficiency, and efficacy of its members through increased knowledge of heath care management principles and research, thereby promoting professionalism in the administrative medical field.


The Central Jersey Chapter of PAHCOM was established in September 1991.  Currently, we have 67 active members and 32 corporate sponsors. Our purpose is to provide a support system to the healthcare professionals in central New Jersey.  The national motto "PAHCOM Shares Knowledge" states very concisely the purpose of the Association and our Chapter.


The continuous pursuit of excellence in the management of medical practices is the overriding long-term strategic goal of PAHCOM.  Our chapter offers educational and/or networking opportunities to office managers and their staffs.

PAHCOM SHARES KNOWLEDGE

That’s more than a catch phrase, its one of the key values behind our organization. The website promotes this sharing in several ways.

The listserv is very active with great questions and even better responses. Many of you use it on a regular basis. It’s a great place to post medical management related topics and questions and have them reviewed and answered by your peers. Log onto the Members Only Section and click the Chapter List Server button.

The Practice Forms and Resources page. is another great place for sharing with your fellow chapter members. This page has copied of many of the office forms we all use everyday. These forms have been contributed by our members are available for you to use as guidelines when developing new forms for your office. Many of you have visited these pages, but only a few have contributed new information. If you would like to contribute any forms for this page, please email them to me and I will post it on the site. Log onto the Members Only Section and click on the Practice Forms and Resources button.

We continue to work on our Shared Resources facility.. The chapter has built a collection of helpful videos, CDs, books and other materials on subjects including Staff Training, Customer Service and Office Compliance. These items will be available for loan to chapter members. Over the next few months, we will publish a list of the items on our site along with a form for reserving them for your use. Watch for more info coming soon.
