Our executive board meets on the first Thursday of each month (except July and August). If you are interested in volunteering for a committee, please contact the chapter president or any member of the executive board.
About Pahcom
The Professional Association of Health Care Office Management was founded in January 1988 for the explicit purpose of providing a support system to the managers of group and solo physician practices.
PAHCOM is a nationwide association dedicated to providing a strong professional network of resources for health care office managers that will perpetuate the productivity, efficiency, and efficacy of its members through increased knowledge of heath care management principles and research, thereby promoting professionalism in the administrative medical field.
The Central Jersey Chapter of PAHCOM was established in September 1991. Currently, we have 37 active members and 26 corporate sponsors. Our purpose is to provide a support system to the healthcare professionals in central New Jersey. The national motto "PAHCOM Shares Knowledge" states very concisely the purpose of the Association and our Chapter.
The continuous pursuit of excellence in the management of medical practices is the overriding long-term strategic goal of PAHCOM. Our chapter offers educational and/or networking opportunities to office managers and their staffs.

From the Webmaster
We have added a new section to the website this month. As an alternative to our Platinum and Gold Corporate Sponsors, we now have a Vendor Rolodex page. On this page we will feature the business cards of vendors that provide goods and services to medical offices. As with our corporate sponsors, these company's financial support of the chapter allow us to continue to operate with minimal fees to our members, please help spread the word to your vendors. Without this support, features including our seminars, newsletters and website would not be possible. As this section continues to build up, please visit the page and utilize our sponsors whenever possible.
Our job bank function allows members to post jobs openings for their practices. Since its inception, we have posted over 150 jobs. We have made a minor change to this page. Once a position is over 6 months old, we will automatically mark it as 'Filled'. This is being doe to reduce the number of calls our members are getting on out-of-date positions and to cleanup the database a bit. If you posted a position over six months ago and want it to show as available, simply go to the Help Wanted page after signing on to the site and update the start date for the position. This will move it back to the top of the list and flag it as available.
We are also doing some cosmetics updates to the site. Several members have mentioned that the text links on some of the pages were difficult to read. As a result, we are converting these to buttons to make the site more 'user friendly'. If you have suggestions to any other updates to the site, please feel free to email me at
